{"id":162,"date":"2021-09-07T14:18:46","date_gmt":"2021-09-07T12:18:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.digimet.es\/en\/?p=162"},"modified":"2021-09-07T14:22:30","modified_gmt":"2021-09-07T12:22:30","slug":"cirmet-counts-on-digimet-as-one-of-its-main-partners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.digimet.es\/en\/2021\/09\/07\/cirmet-counts-on-digimet-as-one-of-its-main-partners\/","title":{"rendered":"CIRMET counts on DIGIMET as one of its main partners"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spire2030.eu\/cirmet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CIRMET<\/a> Project aims to design, develop and validate an innovative solution, to provide energy and resource flexibility to Energy Intensive Industries (EIIs)<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>DIGIMET participates in the CIRMET initiative, led by the Research and Technological Development Centre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tecnalia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TECNALIA <\/a>and funded by the European Union\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/horizon2020\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme<\/a>, whose objective is to design, develop and validate an innovative and efficient solution to provide energy and resource flexibility in highly energy intensive processes.<\/p>\n<p>For this purpose, the CIRMET project is divided into 4 lines of action: 1.<strong> EFFIMELT line<\/strong>, focused on resource efficiency and based on DIGIMET technology, a new concept of flexible and modular process unit for industrial waste treatment; 2. <strong>RECUWASTE line<\/strong> aimed at heat recovery unit, for flue gas heat recovery and transformation into compressed air to re-use in the same plant, having also the possibility of storing the excess energy; 3. <strong>Line<\/strong> <strong>AFF40 (Analytic For Factory 4.0)<\/strong>, to improve process plant competitiveness, to increase energy and resource efficiency by controlling and optimizing process units; and 4. <strong>GHG emission reduction<\/strong> thanks to the use of <strong>biochar<\/strong> as substitution of fossil origin cokes, which will be also tested in EFFIMELT line.<\/p>\n<p>DIGIMET role in CIRMET is to contribute to the development and innovations implemented in the EFFIMELT line.
